Welcome
to the Home Page of the Western Resources Legal Center
(WRLC). WRLC is the
nation’s only environmental clinical internship program specializing in
natural
resource users and issues. WRLC's mission is as follows:
|
“The Western Resource
Legal Center
will
provide Lewis & Clark law students with an opportunity to
develop practical
legal skills and specific knowledge of natural resources and
environmental laws
by assisting with the legal representation of farmers, ranchers,
miners,
foresters, resource developers and other natural resource dependent
entities. As a result of this experience, it is expected that
students
will obtain an understanding of how the litigation process and natural
resource
laws impact the day to day operations of natural resource dependent
businesses. It is further expected that students will have a
better
understanding of the concepts learned at law school by personally
observing how
laws and litigation impact businesses, the economy, and local
communities.” |
WRLC provides unique
opportunities to top students who wish to serve natural resource
businesses by
specializing in environmental law. WRLC builds on the
reputation
of Lewis
& Clark Law
School
(L&C) as the top environmental law school in the country, while
providing
an alternative practical skills experience to L&C’s academic
curriculum
